Earning Links in Hyper Competitive Niche
Elementor is a rapidly growing WordPress page builder plugin. Even though they have only been around for a couple years, they have over 1MM installs and are currently ranked in the top 20 for most popular plugins, according to WordPress.
Even with this, Elementor is in a very competitive market against companies that have had more time to build up their web presence and backlink profile. Because of this, Elementor was often behind these competitors in the search engine results. When we were brought in to help them catch up, we focused on earning links to multiple key pages, and tasked with helping rankings increase, with an eye to helping boost downloads.
After a thorough backlink profile review of competitors like Divi and Beaver Builder, we determined that targeting blogger plugin lists and guest posting opportunities were our best bet to achieve the goals we needed. Fast forward just a brief six months, and Elementor has surged past the likes of Beaver Builder and SiteOrigin in the search rankings.
